Defence of our people is the first duty of government. If we are unable to defend our Isles, then anyone can take what we will build and our people will be at risk. We must create a military capable of destroying our enemies and anyone who dares to think they can invade us or harm our people.

Tier 1 Military

• We will return our Isles to being a Tier 1 military power:
  • We need the ability to project force anywhere in the world at any time to defend our people, assets and territory.
  • We will build a fully funded re-armed military, the second most powerful in the western hemisphere with the ability to eliminate any threat.

Military and Civil Service

• The introduction of Civil and National Service. The choice will be optional:
  • National Service – 1-3 months of basic military training provided by active service personal, teaching our people how to take care of themselves and to defend our Isles
  • Civil Service – 1-3 months of providing care in the community including looking after the elderly, charity work etc

Veterans

• We will take care of our heroes
  • We will house all homeless veterans, provide them with jobs and all the help they need.
  • Veterans with a minimum of 10 years of service – or if they are KIA or injured - will be given a fully paid off home, or the equivalent in cash, when they leave the services. This will compensate for the poor pay they have received during their time in the services.

Lessons from Ukraine

• Learning the lessons from Ukraine and other ongoing wars. We must modernise the way we fight: drones, cyber warfare and special forces.
• Our civilian industries will be built so that they are only ever one step away from becoming a military industrial complex, ready to provide all of the weapons and equipment we could ever need to defend our Isles and win any war we find ourselves in.
