Energy independence, energy security and energy freedom are our goals. We must achieve Energy Independence within five years and then become an energy powerhouse

Day One

• Restart the extraction of our vast oil and gas reserves both on land and in the North Sea. We have enough to meet our energy needs for decades.
• End Standing Charges on gas and electricity.
• Nationalise our energy industry.

Short Term (5 years)

• Cover every rooftop with solar panels – whilst also banning them from being built on our green and pleasant land.
• Build 40,000 wind turbines in the North Sea – whilst also banning them from being built on our green and pleasant land.
• Use the latest technology to burn waste and coal, cleanly, with minimal impact on the environment.

Medium Term (10 years)

• Build more nuclear reactors, including Small Module Reactors in key areas of our Isles to power the Re-Industrial Revolution.
• Upgrade our National Grid to cope with significantly increased energy production and requirements.

Long Term (25 years+)

• Hydrogen to replace natural gas.
• Nuclear Fusion, the unlimited energy holy grail, to replace Nuclear Fission.
