Our infrastructure is creaking; it cannot keep up with what we currently require it for or what we will need it for in the future.
White Elephants
- We must abolish the white elephants and the red tape:
- Scrap HS2 and recover all savings possible.
- Scrap the power wielded by the Infrastructure Planning Commission (IPC)
Investment
Rail
-
- Use the billions saved from scrapping HS2 to fund vital upgrades to our current rail network including reopening train stations and railway tracks.
-
Roads
- Upgrade our road network with a focus on Northern England, the Midlands, Scotland and Wales.
- Build two bridges to unite our Isles. The first one from Scotland to Northern Ireland – The Celtic Crossing. The second one from Wales to the Republic of Ireland – The Unity Bridge.
- These bridges will include both 3 lane motorways and rail.
-
Ports & Shipyards
- Reopen, rebuild and open new ports in preparation for our Isles becoming an industrial powerhouse once more.
