Our Isles are currently governed by a Constitutional Monarchy. A government, that despite our right to vote, still must seek the permission of our Monarch to form and rule.
It is time for a referendum on our monarchy. Do we continue to be lead as a Constitutional Monarchy or do we lead as a Republic?
Referendum
Should the United Kingdom remain a Constitutional Monarchy lead by a Monarch or should it become a Republic led by an elected parliament and Head of State?
- Remain a Constitutional Monarchy
- Become a Republic lead by an elected parliament and Head of State
Remain a Constitutional Monarchy
- The monarch will remain head of state limited by law and convention
- The monarch will however lose the right to approve or dissolve parliament, the power will sit with the Prime Minister.
Become a Republic
